Best Ceramic Coating For Cars in 2022 – 2023

Looking for the Best Ceramic Coatings in 2022 and 2023, here it is!  According to one of the most popular youtube channels on detailing – Pan the Organizer – these are some of the best ceramic and graphene coatings available today.

Professional grade ceramic coatings usually need a certified shop to be able to apply because they’re a bit more particular in their application. The winners here do not require any particular equipment like infrared curing lamps.  Pro-grade ceramic coatings offer more durability whereas, on the consumer side, you often get one to two years of real-world durability.
  1. Roar Coatings – a two-part costing system.  It has graphene and amazing hydrophobic properties. 3-5 years of real-world durability.
  2. DuraSlic DS 1500 Extreme – known for industrial coatings.
  3. Apex Surface Protection Metal Oxide Coating

Best Graphene Ceramic Coatings

glassparency Graphene ceramic coating
Graphene Coatings are an evolution of ceramic coatings. The majority of the graphene coatings have a ceramic base to which is added some reduced graphene oxide or rgo and this is in an effort to minimize the chances of getting water spotting by better heat dissipation either through a lowering the surface temperature or evacuating the water through a more intense water sheeting. They all have their different ways and methods but they’re just as good as ceramic coatings or better depending on which ones you’re getting.
  1. Glassparency Graphene Coating – can be applied in one or two layers, has 3-5 years of durability, and has a decent price.
  2. Advanced version of the Adams Graphene Ceramic Coating – claimed 9 years of durability and great hydrophobic properties, but more difficult to apply than the others in this category.  It is available in a kit with an infrared flashlight to view where the coating has been applied.  Having personal experience with this, we found it easy to apply, but the flashlight was a little confusing because it was hard to see where we missed. We ended up with several high spots on the car that needed to be corrected.  We also did not see a lot of flashing applying it in Florida at about 75 degrees with medium humidity. We would recommend going for #3.
  3. Ethos Matrix Graphene Coating – easy to apply, very hydrophobic, and great slickness.  We found this to be very easy to apply. We ended up with no high spots.  It was very difficult to see any flashing in 90+ degrees Florida weather and high humidity.  We ended up leaving it on for only 30 seconds or so before leveling the product.

Best Ceramic Coatings Light Versions

Can Coat Evo Geon

Ceramic coating light versions are basically less expensive ceramic coatings, but also easier to apply.  The trade-off is that you’re getting a bit less durability typically anywhere from six months to about a year.
  1. Geon Can Coat EVO – easy application, 12 months performance, affordable price, round and tight water beads, long shelf life.
  2. Mcguire’s hybrid paint coating – we are not sure if there is UV protection, but it has excellent hydrophobic properties and up to 12 months of protection.
  3. Tac System Moonlight

Best Spray On, Rinse Off Sealants

Geon Wet Coat Ceramic Spray
Rinse-off ceramic spray sealants are versions that you can spray on a wet vehicle. When you are done washing your car and you’ve rinsed it off, while it’s still wet you spray these on and immediately rinse off again with a high-pressure garden hose or your pressure washer and that’s it. They have roughly 1-3 months on average of protection. They are also great if you want to boost or add protection to your wheels because it’s hard to get in those inner barrels right you just spray on rinse off and there you go you have a few months of protection.
  1. Geon Wet Coat – excellent for boosting or adding protection every 2-3 months.
  2. Mckees 37 Hydro Blue Pro  – slightly higher concentration of the active ingredients.
  3. Car Pro Hydro 2 Lite  –  pre-diluted, ready to use.

Graphene Spray Coatings

A spray form of your favorite graphene products so they’re still ceramic-based with reduced graphene oxide added to them and the majority of them promise anywhere from six to 12 months of real-world protection.
  1. Turtle Wax hybrid solutions pro graphene flex wax – inexpensive, claimed up to 9-12 months of protection, single layer required, can be used as a maintenance product.
  2. Ethos Resist  – We have personally used this and found it to give good protection, great slickness and hydrophobic properties.
  3. 303 Graphene Nano Spray Coating
